What is Psycho B*thes?

The Psycho Bitches project explores the vast availability of derogatory language aimed specifically at women. The plethora of words, verbs and nouns used to demean women, womanhood or woman parts even in comparison to the few aimed at men.

Small Green Shoots is enlisting groups of local women who are first time writers to help us with this investigation. Working with leading writers, poets and spoken word artists they will be researching and creating their own debut pieces, each one unique with new interpretation and contexts.  Each one rooted in the experience of being called “a psycho-bitch”, labelled a “slag” or told they can be a “right cow”. 

The work will be created at libraries across London and the SE and exhibited locally for audiences of all ages and genders.
